Accountable for ensuring budgets are prepared and made available on time, as well as ensuring accurate accounting operations in accordance with company law and accounting standards
Tasks and Duties
- Job-specific tasks:
Define the company’s annual financial planning & budgeting process and design the resulting annual financial plan & budget.
Assist departments in developing capital, operating and manpower budget and consolidate their budgets
Interact with all functions to get inputs on budget and preparation of financial reports and forecasts
Consolidate departmental budgets and develop a master budget
Monitor capital, operating and manpower spending and track the utilization of the budget
Report on budget performance & variance reasons and produce explanation reports
Manage credit in order to plan payments in a cost-effective manner
Maintain adequate liquidity at all times by forecasting payment schedules and therefore manage the expected shortfalls/surpluses of funds
Control financial operations of all departments
Preparation of Financial Statements, Management of Audit Processes,
Regulatory Reporting and Payments: VAT, Income Tax (PAYE), SSNIT Contribution, 2nd Tier
Bank of Ghana Reporting, Acquire Knowledge of Banks and Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions Act 2016, (Act 930).

Coach, motivate and retain staff, develop the individual as well as team capabilities
Lead the section to pursue goals and targets by month, quarter and year
Manage and solve any occurring problem with suppliers
Ensure that section has proper resources to conduct daily activities and achieve objectives
Participate in recruitment activities for own section if requested by the HR department
Follow up on daily, weekly and monthly reports of all activities
Provide reports and feedback to top management (formally and informally) and confer on key topics
Evaluate performance, and delegate responsibility and authority. Follow up to ensure proper performance
3. Expected Results
Use advanced financial skills to analyze, prepare and oversee financial reporting processes
Build a strategic plan and budget to meet the goals of the company
Minimize the cost of doing business
Minimum Requirements
4. Educational Background
University degree in economics, business management and/or risk management
ICA/ ACCA/ CIMA Qualified
MBA Optional
Related Work Experience
Strong professional background with no less than 7 years of experience in a related field
Demonstrated ability to show financial results
Proven administrative, leadership and management ability in the area of Financial Planning and Control, Inventory Control, Cost Management
Languages
Fluent in English

Proficient in accounting software
Must be adept in the use of the Internet and E-mail
